Supply power easily via the Ethernet cable
Compliance with industry standards and protection of investments
PoE is a technology based on standards that describe how power and data are carried through standard Ethernet LAN cables. The standard IEEE 802.3af describes up to 15.4 W of power per device and IEEE 802.3at up to 30 W per device. By complying with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at, the ZyXEL PoE12 series provides compatibility and interoperability with other standards-based PoE devices.
The PoE technology used in the PoE12 series gives you the option of putting devices such as WiFi APs, surveillance IP cameras and IP phones exactly where they are needed. Since the devices are powered directly via Ethernet cables, no separate power adapters are required. There is no need for expensive installations of AC power outlets on ceilings or roofs by electrical engineers.
Simple operation thanks to Plug-and-Play
The PoE12 series is easy to use – no configuration required. Since only the input and output cables need to be plugged in, the installation is very easy and can be performed by users that have no knowledge of wiring, which keeps a lid on costs.
